Music Ministry
Each Sunday’s 10:30 service is a Choral Eucharist.  The Parish Choir practices on Thursday nights at 7pm under the direction of our organist/choirmaster Marcella Chaykosky.  Please contact Marcella or a choir member if you would like to join!  We also hold free concerts periodically, which are held at different points in the  year to which the public is invited. Guest performers as well as the musical talents of parishioners add to the enjoyment of these performances.  Come join us and make a joyful noise unto the Lord!

OutReach

The Church of the Redeemer reaches out to the needs of the community in many ways.

  • Ministry to the ill:  Many people who go into Robert Packer hospital run into a parishioner or priest during their stay.  We include the sick in our prayers each week and offer support depending on their needs.
  • Help with housing:  We are a very active participant in The Bridge, a cooperative program of Churches in the Valley to help those in need in our community.
  • Providing food for the hungry:  We accept weekly collections to the area food bank and put on a free meal once a month for anyone  in the community.  The Youth Group each year takes up a collection on Souper Sunday to help with local hunger.  Our Sunday School during Lent learns how working together to purchase animals through Heifer International,  can help a village support itself.   The Church participates in a Angel Tree project during the  Holidays to provide a Christmas to five area families.
