Sunday School News

Mite Boxes
Sunday school students will receive their Mite Boxes 2/11/18.  Again this year the money generated from the mite box donation will be used to purchase a renewable resource for the Heifer project.  The students have a great time deciding on what to purchase.  In the past their donation was substantial enough to purchase, through the Heifer organization, sheep, a goat, a pig, part of a water  buffalo, chickens, a llama and fish.  These renewable resources are given to selected needy families to help them to support themselves.

Open Forest
On March 3rd , the Sunday School will be sponsoring the Face Painting and Tattoo event at the 19th Annual Open Forest at the Satterlee Creek Environmental Center located at 2817 Cotton Hollow Road,  Litchfield Township, behind the former Litchfield Elementary Building, from 10 AM to 2 PM.  This is a free outdoor family event that is great fun with outdoor activities for all. Activities include walks through the trails, open fire for marshmallow roasting and warmth, dog sled dogs, wagon rides, maple syrup processing and pancakes, free hotdogs and chili, Chinese auction, and much more.  See you there for your free Tattoo!

Lasagna Dinner
The Sunday school will be cooking and serving a Lasagna dinner on March 8, 2018, from 4 to 6:30 pm.  The dinner will include salad, bread and butter, desert, and beverage all for $8.  The class will be taking your orders, serving the meals and cleaning up.  Hope you can join us.

Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday the students will take part in the service by distributing palms and crosses to the congregation.

Easter Sunday
There will be no Sunday School on Easter Sunday.  However, those who would like to go to the tower to retrieve our banner and Al should meet us at the back of the church at 10:30 AM for our climb to the tower.  The students will be singing and presenting their mite boxes during the Easter service.  The mite box collection will benefit the Heifer Foundation.  Following the service there will be an Easter Egg hunt on the church lawn for all the children. In case of foul weather, the hunt will be held downstairs.  Sunday School will resume on April 6th at 9:30 AM.
